Hello all, I'm thinking about taking up Metal Detecting as a hobby and I have scanned the advertisements and eBay. I see a lot of cheap looking detectors on eBay but occasionally an older but obviously better constructed detector appears. I have seen a Whites 6000D and just today, a Compass Relic Magnum. This looks like a great detector. I have been unable to find out much about it or other, older, metal detectors. Would the Compass Relic Magnum be a good investment, or an older Whites, or a cheaper less rugged looking detector (as on eBay) be the best.
