Prizm III Vs MXT
I currently in the market for a new metal detector. I currently use a Prizm III, and am interested in upgrading to a MXT. Can anyone tell me if an upgrade to an MXT would really help me in finding deeper signals, or should I hold off and save up for a better model. My main goal is to find deeper targets. I wont be able to afford a better coil until a later date as well. Any help would be greatly apprecieted.

Re: Prizm III Vs MXT
The MXT is much more detector than the Prizm with a much fuller selection of coils and more horsepower so to speak. The Prizm will make a good back up or loaner, but the MXT will end up as your workhorse.

Another detector to consider is White's M6. It's just as deep as the MXT and it has more tones. You can use the $100 saved to buy an extra coil.
You should be able to get a used M6 for $400 or less. HH, George (MN)
