I needed some extra cash so I cleaned all my clad in my tumbler. When I was done I took it to the bank and cashed it in. When it was all done I had $108.43. So I was wondering how much have you found this year. I think I will have to do this again next year keep my clad all summer and then cash it in all at once to see how much there is. Now this is not the rings that I found as I still have them........Matt

My clad for the year is $0.40. :tongue3:

Quarter - 1
Dime - 1
Pennies - 5

I hunt for relics 99.5% or more of the time. I hope that everyone has a better clad year than me!

I'm not sure how much I've found this year. I do know that at one football field, in about 2 hours, I found about 20 dollars in change. It's all in a plastic tub under my desk along with all the other clad.
I can tell you this much, the tub weighs about 30 lbs.

$0.27 A quarter and 2 pennies. Granted I've only been twice for a grand total of about an hour. I can really only go out on the weekends, and only get a little bit of time even then, so my clad count might never reach the type of numbers some of you are at!

In 2009, my beach coins paid for about 10% of my gasoline bill. In 2010, I'll up that contribution to 15% based on the number of coins I still have remaining. I hand the attendant either a $10 and $1 in beach change or a $20 and $2 in beach change. Handing then more than $2 in change I feel would be pushing the limit of their tolerance level.

Great question....... This was my 1st year at it and I hit it hard! I started the first thaw in Jan & Feb. I dug 3,925 clad coins this year! :walk:

$253.87 money total

1. 2,372 Pennies
2. 193 Nickels
3. 815 Dimes
4. 538 Quarters
5. 5 Half Dollars
6. 2 Dollar coins

I sure hope to tone the pennies way down next year and raise the rest way up!
