Good news is that I know of two churches and three old buildings that have been in use since the early 1800's. Bad news is all three are listed on the National Registry of Historic Buildings. Question, I realize that the structures themselves are absolutely off limits but how about the grounds? The two churches have normal size church yards of about 1/2 acre but the three buildings are clustered together in a 10 acre park. Does the designation pertain to the entire property or just the structures?

I won't detect grounds around protected buildings-- anything over 50 years old and on the historic registry is off limits. Not worth heavy fines, confiscation of equipment, and being blacklisted for park entry in the future!
