Since Silver is a high conductive metal about all detectors will respond to it lots better than other metals.

My explorer does like it quite a bit but the trick here is to find an old site that wants to give it up. One of the things that makes the explorer very good at it is the ability to see coins on edge.... and give a good solid sound. It was one of the first things I noticed after the change from my GTI.
