Papa From Grace & George 1876!

In Mill Valley Calif. an old house was torn down and cleared away. I hunted the foundation area of where the house once stood and I got a good signal under about 1 inch of dirt. I pulled out this sterling silver match box. One one side it says: "Papa, From Grace & George 1876." The wooden matches are still intact! Unfortunately, its missing the lid/cover. I looked all over for it but could not find it. It makes you wonder who those people were and what happend to them?

Now thats an interesting find you got there. Keep the matches inside the piece if at all possible, adds character to the piece

Nice. An item like that always tells a better "story" than a coin, anyday.
