i have 2 different detectors, i have been using a whites classic II its about 6 years old. and it seems to be .... sick? it only detects a few inches anymore, when it used to do about 8-10 with the same set up it has now, what could cause this. also my father is letting me use his whites xlt also purchased a while ago, and it seems pretty nice, although i keep getting good readings, like i got a ring/quarter reading?!? whats that about, when i dug it up it was a .22 shell. is there some procedure i have to do to calibrate it or something? its not like my classic, which is more or less turn on and go.
