For those of us that have to use the x system for pin pointing with the coil, how acurate are you? Is the target where you thought most of the time?...............My detector has arrows that come together when you are over the target. Only problem is the coil has to be moving side ways to work. Hard to watch the coil and arrows at the same time and if the target is over two inches the arrows dont work, so its back to the x marks the spot. Has anyone mastered this?

Once upon a time I was great at it. Had to be. No arrows, just watched the coil, pick a spot on the ground, turn 90 and swing. You can pretty much get right on it.

You can put golf ball holder pin thought the hole of the coil or if hunting in sand just make an impression with the coil.
