Don't live anywhere near you, but there's got to be a detecting club or two in Dallas. Do a web search. Those folks can help you a bunch! :icon_thumleft:

Drive on down to the Alamo - I hear they have a huge basement, and no-one
has ever detected in that basement. Some good old relics must be around there. :laughing7:

No - just kidding.
Try Google maps. All the parks and open spaces show up in green.
Easy to find, then zoom in with satellite view.
Also, do a search of things like "bike trails" "horse trails" "campgrounds",
"hiking trails" "fairgrounds" all with the word Dallas added, and you will have plenty of leads.
If you find a potential site, then zoom in on Google again, and you can check out the terrain
that way.
