Capain Zossier. I did not pick in any particular order. I chose these people because of special attributes that they have shown in posts. Go ahead pick your dream team. I dare you. I honestly think that Reale Tayopa has a wealth of knowledge and experience in finding treasures. I also have Marc our Historical Investigator right next to him. We need an honest military kind of guy so I think Wreckdiver is absolutely necessary. Gypsie moth has shown a super intellect for research. Big C has the heart and drive of a true IndianaJones type. I think Jeffro has great ability in organization which I recognize from the way he articulates. We need a beautiful geologist, so we all know who she is. SWR is absolutely necessary to keep us honest..otherwise we'd have dowsing rods strapped to our heads. That leaves two positions left, unless RTDE3 wants to bring his dogs for protection and Dekalb is always welcome if he can cook.

Now this is funny....If it is to be a team of specialists in their field ....that would be hard ....because holy cripe there are some excellent brains in this forum.....then there are those that I would take for comic relief alone...can I take one team....and pull a party boat behind? We are going by boat aren't we Or is it land?? See the dilemma here....Because there is a crew of divers and shipwreck experts and then we have the land experts, hikers ,cavemen (hahah) ....And then there a couple of people I think are really intelligent ....but I would be afraid I would drown them before the trip was over.....Just trying to be honest here......I think I better sleep on this ....hahaha .....And I need more details.....How long of a trip (because I could put up with any one for three days ....a week ? someone is going to go overboard) unless of course the treasure is going to make me heartstopping rich....then I could hold out longer.... How long of a trip is this burdie?? Because even tho I seldom drink...if it goes too long...I have a feeling we are going to need that bartender....And what about clothes....hot....cold .....because if its in cold weather....I am not even going ... :P

We are going to a Latin American country. We are looking for a treasure worth 500 million minimum. Located in South America are clues and the treasure. But where? We might have to travel through jungles, rivers, deserts, climb mountains and enter caves. We have three months to find the treasure. We do have an authentic map. Have all the equipment and supplies provided. Now put your team together and good luck finding that treasure. If you need more wing it. Burdie

WOW!!!! I have to say one thing, trying to pick 10 people out of the many detectorists in this forum would be a tall task...But If I was to pick a dream team of people it would be Detectorists that have shown their detication to the hobby , not only with just finding objects but the research involved. Knowing what they are looking for how to find it and where to look . Plus knowing the equipment they are useing ...So knowing there are so many in this forum , I would have to chose some of the people I know not in this forum, that I have detected with for years and know they have over 20 and 30 years experience since detectors first came out and have found unbelievable finds in there adventures . But like I said before I know of plenty in this forum that I would enjoy detecting with ! On that one Treasure Hunting adventure!!!!! The Seeker

Fascinating topic!!!! I really don't think I could narrow it down to just 10. There are so many folks on here that I enjoy reading. Here's just a few based on their finds, humor and fellowship- Free, gypsyheart, lonewolf, seeker, comfyinvermont, michiganbadger, jd in missouri, and of course Jeff and Marc !!! And many more who I cant think of right now- what the heck LETS ALL GO!!!!!!

This was a lot harder than I thought...every time I thought...well I will need this person for their expertise,then I thought of another person ....and since its a fantasy trip....I pick twenty people because I need them all if I am going to get that treasure and its my dream ...LOL....Sorry Burdie I couldn't keep it to ten....there are just to many people in this forum with superior attributes and had this been a high seas adventure, then my entire list would change again...Cornelius,cablava....Can I just pick five teams....You said to wing it....LOL

1.Mona Lisa....and Pups....Proven adventuress, knows her treasure and can hike mountain ranges with ease. And besides...I am not going on a trip alone with a bunch of guys.

2.Omni.....Superior researcher,common sense, and in case we need it, I know he can build me a canoe out of a matchstick and vine

3.Jeffro....Excellent communicator and engineer brain...Like having McGuyver with us (and he could build me a helicopter out of a matchstick and a vine!)

4.The Seeker...Proven researcher,inventor,navigator and that man can dig. Outdoors man,familiar with extreme conditions and longtime detectorist

5.Burdie...Knows his field and will keep us entertained , plus technology expert and always keeps us thinking.

6.Realde...Any person who has explored the Congo and is a member of the Elite Explorers needs to be on this trip. And we know he can ride a mule.

7.Chagy...A Pirate , Language Translator and any man that keeps his garage that clean has to be organized

8.Nbenz...Mediator with class....identifier and doesn't give up

9.Lionspride...doesn't post ,but is a member and is a fearless adventurer,extremely intelligent, funny and can shoot

10.Jeff of Pa...Need a moderator ,even in the field, plus he is an expert at survival and knowledge

11. Marc...proven organizer , adventurer and treasure finder

12.Monty...Need the wit ,experience as a detective and someone who can record this story for the masses. We will be rich off the book sales and movie version!

13. PBK...Obviously Great Researcher ,Quick to figure things out,direct and to the point

14.Tgsman...Proven detectorist,dedicated and researcher

15.Dano and Dogs ....research and searcher.....intelligent thinking will help the cause

16.DigEmAll....Because he is a proven "git- er-done" guy and accomplishes what he sets out to do come hell or high water.

17. Grizzlybear....Because anyone who reads the Foxfire books will be prepared and if he can put up with high school bottle diggers he will be able to survive in this crew...Plus campfire stories and entertainment!

18.JD of Mo....Because I know he wont give up until he finds it

19.Suwaneepirate...Leader of the crew.....keep us all on track and sane and civil

20.DaveNJapan....Used to jungles and caves and explorer...

Ok I lied ....21. Judge Judy ...because we need her geologist skills and she will keep everyone in line

Then I would have the second crew ...Michigan Badger....if he can find a dang wheel nailed to a tree in the forest,he can find treasure with a map.
Free...because he is crazy enough to go anywhere for gold and you need a little craziness in your life
Civilman ...because he is dedicated and a good hunter
jon 43.. because he is tough and not afraid of vampires
lonewolf....because he disappears and reappears and that might come in handy ..rvbvetter....because he has great ideas and a fantastic imagination....tinpan...because he isn't afraid to tackle anything(except vampires)....snake 35 because he knows caves and hills...trk5capt and bk...because they are interesting and know their stuff...Hollowpointed because he never forgets stuff...Okie...Because he can find gold

Its evident as I write this that I cannot choose a team ....I want to take everyone that I think is good at something.


CappyZ was on my list,but since he volunteered to manage the home front operations, I will let him....Lost a good bartender though.But I think he could throw one heck of a party. Note to Cappy...Plan it on the Caribbean Cay Island I will be buying since I wont be returning to pay taxes nor let any one take my share of the treasure.And while you are at it....everyone that didn't get to go can go to the island and just party till we get back...

Marc....I think you should just get a sponsor(s) to send about five teams out ,totally finance us and lets us go after treasure....You will become famous and rich.....by taking just everyday normal people and teaming them together....... Think you could manage that in your spare time.....Or Like The Seeker was talking about the other day in chat...set up a "real treasure hunting" show on TV and have teams ........Jump on that Marc OK!
