good luck but you'll be damn lucky to find them. I lived there for 15 years and never heard about anyone ever finding them. The native people there were peaceful and lived there until just past the turn of the 20th century. I think they fished a lot so less arrowheads to be found.

Did you mean an indian head penny? Or an arrow head, as dirty-digger has interpretted the question? If you mean indian head pennies, yes, lots get found routinely there.

Just a tip: the indians I have dug have all signaled a little below penny. So be careful on how much you discriminate.

Oh yeah...Plenty of them. You'll need to frequent the older cities like Denver, and some of the old mining towns in the Rockies. Around the school yards /home sites is where I found most of mine. Have fun

You bet !!!! Get up to some of the mining towns,ie,Leadville,Cripple Creek,Silverton, etc. I have found many in those locations. I have found many right on top of the ground. Keep looking their out there. In response to Dirty Digger Dude,& with all due respect,if you've been here 15 years, and havent found any arrowheads,,, your either not looking hard enough,or in the wrong places. Since 1968 when I found my first spearhead,I have found litteraly 100s of arrowheads, spearheads, scrapers, knives, etc, etc. I have include 2 pics of an Indianhead penny,& 3 arrowheads, all found in the past couple of months. As the poster above said. Indian Heads read more regularly in the zinc range. Dig all of them zing signals, especially if they are deep! :icon_thumright:
