Hi Chris,

You are right I do need a huntin partner...I did u/w detecting with the same dive partner for 10 years before he fell ill and stopped diving, now my son goes with me occasionally.
I was led to this site by a friend, deep in the woods of NH, it is thought to be a small village on top of a wooded ridge with some hay fields and a "colonial" road bisecting it. My son and father in law joined me here and the only coin found was by my father in-law and it was a worn, no date seated dime. I am going back in the spring or next week if the weather holds off as we are expecting a couple of inches tonight.

pm me if you want to join me at this site in the spring or do some u/w hunting as that is my area of knowledge not this woods stuff.

This is a shot of me (on the left) and my old dive partner at Lake Willoughby in upstate VT.

That is a good thought Randy, I have others like this and they have all come from river sites that have early Mills on them, maybe they are pattern stencils for a specific product.

Thanks for your input my friend.

The copper plate looks like a stencil.

I'd think so too, but all the designs are the same. :icon_scratch:

Really nice finds there riverdiver, looks like you are into a good spot.
Just curious, what kind of goodies are you bringing up from the water and do you do any ocean MDing?

Just out of curiosity, how deep do you guys dive? Are you allowed to dive around forts located on lakes and waterways, where you might find cannon ball and artifacts?
