The Clue # 5

Location : Colorado
Cache : 12 big, heavy chests containing Doubloons & gold Pesos
A detachment of 200 Spanish soldiers and the 12 chests vanished and about 1720 a dying Apache Indian told a Padre that his band had wiped out the soldiers in Purgatory Canyon in Colorado. The Military search party, after searching a month found the bones of the soldiers, but couldn't locate the cache of 12 chests. The officer that led the 200 men was Don Carasco Rodriguez. The Indian said he saw them bury the 12 chests just before the attack. Since the trip starter in Santa Fe NM, there might be some record of the trip and the location of the bone find there. Anyone read Spanish? I can't even estimate the value of this one. Probably in the billions. If anyone searches this one and finds the location of the bones and wants a partner for the search let me know.
