Coins for charity?

I plan to detect as much as I can this year and give coin finds to charity

Anyone out there done this before?

Couple of parks near my area are always full of activity so its bound to cough of modern coins. If i encounter an old coin that would be great if not it goes to the project

i think that is a nice act.... let them know you got the coins MDing ... that will go to giveing our hobby a better name and, might open some doors for more places for you to detect.
