Thanks. I purchased a Beach Hunter ID a few months ago thinking it would be a water resistant DFX and was surprised that I had to keep the coil in motion to pinpoint unlike the DFX which has no motion pinpointing. I also am not a fan of manual ground balancing.

The Sov. at least has auto ground balance. The other detector I liked is the CZ-70 but I think it does not have auto ground balance. But it does have no motion pinpointing.

Still, I have read good things about the Sov. and Minelabs in general and haven't ruled out getting a Sov. I like their customer support because they are the only company to respond quickly to requests for literature with Fisher second and Whites coming in last.

Wonder what the advantage if any of no-motion pinpointing? You'd think that in all metal mode, there would be a steady tone.
