I've got 2. One is plastic and electronic-uses 9 vt. battery, other is brass rod on screwdriver handle. Won both in a hunt, prefer brass-less room and handier.

If you are useing a Whites or Minelab machine I would go with an inline SunRay probe. If not I would recomend a Vibra Probe 560. Easy to use, don't have to remove headphones, and is water proof.

I beleave they have a SUNRAY probe for Fisher now too

Think I'll just use brass probe, worked great New Year's Day. Electronic probe just got in the way.
