Metal detector cases

I do have a couple standard detector bags but they are not quite what I am looking for. I know the group on here are pretty resourceful so I am looking for your nonstandard detector cases. As an example I have the three piece travel rod on my Excalibur and have been thinking a tactical rifle case may be the ticket. Velcro straps to hold the rods, as all as Velcro to hold the coil and brains of the unit in place. Something that would fit the airline carry on requirements and provide protection. I have even seen some by bulldog mfg that have backpack straps. Also looking for a way to transport the Excalibur or e trac on my motorcycle.
