My very first finds with my coinmaster while practicing for about 30 minutes.
I picked up my first metal detector(White's coinmaster) on Tuesday from a lady after work for $100.
She did not have it setup correctly with the washers on the outside of the pole and the connector was not screwed tight to the unit.
I read about the washers and making sure the the connector was tight on the forum, after people here talked about the signal jumping around.
After making the corrections, I went to the back yard to practice and see if I could find anything.
Well, I found the three small pieces of metal in about thirty minutes of practicing.
I had to use the pin pointer feature on the coinmaster because I don't have one yet.
I found the piece of button dead on and the second piece of metal dead on.
I found the last piece of metal a little to the right but I was close.
I think I am going to like this.

It's dangerous to be right when those with a thimbleful of perceived authority are wrong.
The coinmaster is a fine machine, and easy to master.
No lookin back now!
