I haven't tried it much but I've heard the grassy strips in-between the sidewalk and road in old neighborhoods are really good for old stuff :)

MrWykel, Exactly what they knock down to build a park :icon_scratch: It's land, and it's probably been there for a long time too. I am certain that people, even from decades ago did traverse that area, and probably dropped stuff too :icon_thumleft: :tongue3:

All depending on the age of your neighborhood and if you have a yard,try there.I have dug up some nice silvers "mostly merc's" out of my front & back yard.Also had some luck in my neighbors back yard.And my neighborhood is not really all that old "30's".
With proper permission, church grounds seems to hold some older coins at least in my area.
