Something newbie's might consider before a detector purchase
The way I look at it, it's all about finding something potentially good, and the more good signals the better right? Relying strictly on a screen may not find you all the good stuff. Have a look see.

Anybody who wants to learn about iron masking there are some videos at the Garrett website. The AT Pro and AT Gold have hi-resolution iron discrimination. Even the Ace 350 has expanded range iron discrimination.

Thanks for the tip. I've been trying to just listen and then look. Does a chattery sound usually indicate iron, trash, or what?
