Classics were always sleeper machines and underated. Quality batteries will provide up to 70 hours detecting time. 6.592 kHz 2 filter design but smoother than some other well known brands and gives a fast response. Came with an 8" coil but yours might have the deeper/wider searching 950 coil off its big brothers in the Whites range. If it has the smaller coil and you need improved depth then the larger coil is supposed to give 15% more but on my ground only 10% but still a worthwhile gain. Keep the smaller coil for high rubbish areas though you will still not be able to get good finds as close to rubbish as with a DD coil.
