Pinpointers
What kind and why, also do they work good for shooting nuggets?

Nuggets? As in Gold Nuggets? None are really very good at finding smaller gold (The Falcon MD-20 can sort of be used as a pin-pointer, but not as you would use one designed for coin shooting - It will help you find small gold if you use it right, but it's not of much use as a general pinpointer). If you are coin hunting, the Garrett Pro Pointer has a good reputation.

I deal in reality
Harbor freight pinpointed- about $18.
Garrett pro pointer- about $160
They both will find a dime at about 1". You don't want a pinpointer that is to powerful. It will drive you nuts in the hole.
The Garrett Has a better shape and the HF is much easier to repair and mod. Take your choice.
