So I am very new to metal detecting and was playing with my brothers Ace 150 and found these in my back yard, you may have seen it in my other post at Today's Finds thread.
Since my birthday is in about a month I am looking to get a MD. Question, is there a big difference from the Ace 150 to the ACE 250. Or should i go with something entirely different. My budget range is in the $200s

I started with an Ace150 and just got my compadre a few days ago. Simply put I'm selling my Ace150. Been twice with the Compadre and love it.
Another great testimony. No surprise to me at all! I don't see why you would even need the Ace once you have a Compadre. It impresses me more every time I take it out! Congrats ALD, wise choice. Keep us posted on your finds and how you are enjoying your new machine! Scott

Went again this morning over some spots I previously hit with the Ace 150 and found a few coins. Nothing more than face value but still impressive.

Having the dial helps a lot because I just leave it on "All Metal" and then when I get a good signal I slowly turn the dial up until it doesn't register. So far has been great, maybe a little slower but definitely hands down compared to the Ace 150.

Ace is fully collapsible, has a LCD screen, 1/4 inch headphone jack, but the best part is you can switch out the coil!!
