Heading there for Thanksgiving and was wondering where there might be a park or site I could swing there..

The only place I can think about is City Park. The 1st website was from someone else detecting there, had to have been before Katrina.

The 2nd is City Park info...some of the areas are just opening back up since the storm.

There are several little parks surrounding the area.

I never detected there...probably never will. Rules may have changed for detecting...ask 1st. Just be cautious and safe.

I'm up northwest of NOLA along I-12. PM me, we might can detect a park up in my area.

Wow, I totally forgot about this post. I went to the city park and there was a lot of silt still from the flood. I did manage to find a silver ring though. Thanks for the reply.. Has anyone been back here since?
