Out the box-First dig-first find

I just wanted to say hi this is my first post. I've just un-boxed my garrett ace 250 and tested it in the garden, first bleep, first dig and I find this .. What I can only think is a ball of melted metal from where my dad use to have his garden fires. Still I'm excited and proud of it lol..

looks like a molten aluminum can "nugget". They get formed when an aluminum can gets tossed onto a fire (BBQ, trash-burn, or wherever). They're common on beaches that allow beach bonfires. Fortunately for beach hunting, they're light-weight, and don't show up on the wet sand when erosion is occuring (d/t they get stripped out with the sand, and not left with the heavier objects )

Congrats! I have my first find from not long ago, an 1.5" metal pipe fitting. I was pretty excited about that, too.

Dont remember my first find. Probably a nail. My backyard is full of them. Good luck on your next hunt
