Fooled again...but I'm still looking

I pulled this out of the ground in Adrian, Michigan and my heart skipped a beat. I thought I found my first gold coin. As it turned out, it was an Iranian 50 Dinars alloy coin and nothing of any value. It was found with several other older U.S. coins at the base of a tree in a park.

A cool find. Any idea on the age of this coin?

Probably aluminized bronze. I dug a couple Mexican coins that made my heart skip. Made of the same alloy, they stay fairly untarnished.

Gunrunner61,

Another collector told me the date translated to (1938 AD) with a mintage of: 17,314,000

I found one similar to that in OC Maryland on the beach, but it was silver in color and about quater size. Frank
