French, for sure:LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE.
i'll guess the diameter at 30 mm. If so, it would be a ten centimes coin; struck under the Third Republic of France (1870-1898) . EDIT: All the bronze ten centimes pieces were demonetized in 1935.

Any tips for cleaning? I thought it was a batting cage token and when I flipped it and saw 1882 I was floored. Oldest coin previous to this was 1909 Wheat. AT Pro is already showin me something.
