... I never under stood about never wear steel in your shoes or eyelets .........when detecting....... I have never had any problem and i have wore steel toes and steel eyelets many of time with out any problems......... I think it is a old wives tale for i found no truth in it.......

Normally, it makes no difference, Until you hunt with a good PI or a 2 Box. With the PI I have to carry the scoop on my shoulder, with the 2 Box, I have to leave the shovel over 6 feet away. Of course, the 2 Box might not pickup the eyelets. Frank
