If there's any houses still around there, ask one of those owners who owns that property that had the house on it.Tell them that you would like to MD and that you like to find old things, etc. Be nice about it.

If your lucky the county you live may operate a GIS (Geographic Information System) web site. This web site may or may not be publically accessible. Basically it is a satellite map that includes property lines overlaid on it. The GIS site in my County allows you to click on a particular piece of property and gain access to several different forms of information such as owner name, size of property and even tax information etc. This has been very helpful to me in the past. If you can't find an online GIS you may be able to go to your town, city or county building/zoning dept. and they may be able to help you. You can also check with local real-estate agents they may also be able to help. Good Luck

Once you find the owner, tell them that you will haul off any trash you find while you're there.....and then do it. That can make a good impression and maybe open up other areas to hunting. The owner or friends of his might have other good properties to hunt.

Thank you everyone for the advice. The house was built in the early 30's and will be my earliest site to hunt so far. I found the owner and will be stopping by either today or tomorrow to ask for permission ill post on my results soon

If you have a kid that will hunt with you, take them along when you ask permission.
