Hey all, I was just wondering whats the best detector for Long Island? I was just messing around with a fisher f5 for a few days and that thing make way to much noise for me to deal with especially near or on the beach.. I would love a machine that's quiet, deep and fairly easy to use... If I can have all that than I don't mind paying for it.. Thank you

You'll have to go multi-frequency if you want a land and saltwater machine. I use a Tesoro Sand Shark (pulse induction) on the wet sand and in the water, and a Vaquero (single-frequency VLF) on the dry sand.
