How's the Ace 250 at the beach?

Having a hard time hunting without being bothered and stated at. Cops, dog walkers, neighbors, etc. Everyone wants to talk, and while I'm quite sociable, I'm not about getting the bejesus scared out of me when I'm midswing with my headphones on. I feel the beach, at this time of the year anyway, will be a little more uninterrupted? Anyways, how is the 250 at the beach? I've found plenty of clad in the few times I've been out but other than that, just scrap. Wondering if I should stay towards the dryer sand or should I not be afraid to mix it up and get the coil a little wet? Questions? Comments? Concerns?

The saltwater and wet sand will drive the 250 crazy and cause alot of false signals. So i wouldn't bother trying this. However, in the dry sand, you can get good depth and run the sen. near max. HH
