Whites GMT, Goldmaster Vsat, 5900, Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300 and Falcon MD-20.

Its quite a versatile detector. Many people use them for Relic Hunting as well as Prospecting. Its also a great coin hunter. The cheaper Whites can't do all of these things. Depending on what you are going to detect for, you could use a cheaper detector.

Looking to purchase this metal detector very soon and was wondering what the general concensus is on it. Is it worth the money? How deep does it typically go? Can I get the same results with a cheaper Whites model?
Depends on what you're looking for. The MXT is a very good all around machine. There's probably better machines for certain purposes but without knowing your needs, there is no way to advise you.

That machine should work fine for that.
