Which One would fit,

coin shooting and jewelry hunting,
gets down 8-10" on coins and ID-s Correct,
Has ground balance,
isn't too heavy,
mostly used on grassy areas, old home sites, and schoolyards, old churches, and sometimes the beach.
The AT pro's waterproof feature doesn't matter to me.

I have the F2 and loved it for a month, I found out it gets 4" max on quarters and it beeps at random in mid air with the sensitivity all the way down. I get a good signal dig, and then pull out a nail check the hole again, silence, I even had iron notched out! I am getting fed up with this detector! So I am going to upgrade and would like to get a machine around the 600$ price range. I heard alot of good about the AT pro, but there is a lot of bad too. F70 doesn't have the depth I want, omega 8k doesn't get the depth i want, minelab 505 I have not heard much about! Thanks in advance

What kind of soil do you have? I am in Michigan so it's not good, or not bad.

and if your detector F2 is beeping in the air and sen. turned all the way down...then you need to send it back to the factory and get it fixed

I do take it that you are using the stock coils? or dd coils?

I don't plan on spending any money on extra coils. I plan on using the stock coils

If your detector is falsing in the air with sens turned down you might just have EMI interference. Did you turn off your cell phone. Near any transformers, security or dog fences, microwave towers, etc?

I was in my backyard, no wires, my cell phone was turned on, and no dog fences or anything that could mess the detector up.

I dug a clad quarter down 7 inches today with the AT PRO. It rang in loud and clear. My soil here in washington state ground balances between 85-95 most of the time. Just my two cents. HH and good luck!
