I was detecting under a tree at my parents where I have found an old Coty lipstick container and a sweetheart locket. The most unique item I have ever pulled from that yard in Marion, IN, was this knife:

It reads:
Scott B. Goodwine
Kokomo, Ind.
Feb. 1905
Def one of my best of/favorite finds ever. Worth nothing but it's too cool for school.

that is called a melon knife...

the handles on that knife are celluloid...nasty stuff...self destructs...like a slow motion explosion...
the cell will eat the knife into unidentifiable parts...and anything in contact with the cell when it dissolves into an unrecognizable puddle.

I bet the salesman didn't tell that to Scott B. Goodwine.

That is very cool. I almost moved to Kokomo when I was a kid, Dad actually went there and worked at a printing press. Glad it has all that info on it.
