Coin Shooting by Steve Lehto is very good

Metal Detecting the Beach by Mark Smith is good also.

Metal Detecting for the Beginner is ok, but its for the complete novice.

These are all available for Kindle as well.

Lastly, i hear "Urban Treasure Hunter" is excellent but haven't read it yet.

A lot will depend on which type of detecting you plan on doing as to what book will have the most interest to you. Park/school, ghost towns, beach, nuggets, relics, etc.

I keep hearing about Von Mueller's books but they sell for $40 bucks! Is the information worth the month though?

Urban Treasure Hunter was the first book I read and one of the best.
Dr Tones has a book out and it's not too bad has some more modern information but no eye opening info to me.

I've thought about writing a book but focusing solely on modern research methods.
