Snakes don't always rattle. You do swing the coil, and I'd swish that around.

Wear protective clothing.

Either kind of snake deserves attention. In any areas that have some danger to them, I wear my headphones over just one ear.

They prevent snake bites on your ears. If your worried wear snake proof boots/chaps/ect. In California they are everywere. Saw 3 on my morning bike ride to work not even in the grass or weeds.

I was just using my "Rattlers" 1 ear headphones this morning but I wear them for the heat and dogs running up to me in the park :blackbeard:

As mentioned above, Gray Ghost makes a set of headphones named "The Rattler" for obvious reasons.
It has only ONE earpiece so that your other ear is not covered and able to hear any "outside" noises.
You can wear your regular headphones and just position one of the earcups behind your ear if you want.

Maybe out in the bush you'll find them, but they're hardly "everywhere". I've been hunting for 43 years now and haven't seen even one.

The snakes hereabouts walk on two legs. I wear a Rattler single ear-piece headphone from Detector Pro. Highly recommmended. Cooler in the summer as well.

I have a pair of Black Widows as well, and I'd jump out of my shoes when someone would tap me on the shoulder after walking up behind me and talking and I still had no idea they were there.
