I found a few men's rings that were split right at the bottom and the stone was missing. Can happen to men's ring that have a wide band, but thin, and having a larger stone. Later I found out that it was the result of the ground freezing and expanding, splitting the ring and popping the stone out. The stone is still there in the ground where the ring was, forever. Anybody had this happen?

Nice bit of advise ~ I've found a ring before that was missing the stone, I'm sure I left it in the hole.

This happened to me once and I happened to see the garnet in the dirt with the ring. Must of been my lucky day as garnet is my birthstone.
