I received permission to hunt a home built in 1906 in Jesse James territory (Liberty, MO). I found this interesting piece in a back field and wonder if someone can help me ID it. It doesn't appear to be steel as it is not rusted. Thanks.

I was thinking that or maybe a shoe buckle. There are also civil war era homes in this neighborhood.
