Hello. I recently secured permission to search an old country home place. I have an Ace 250 with a stock coil but also received a larger coil with the purchase. I've read that larger coils detect deeper. I primarily got into this with the hope of finding silver coins etc, Is it worth my while using the larger coil? Thanks for any advice.

Take both coils. check the area you wish to search with the stock coil in all metal.
If the area is peppered with metal targets, use the stock coil.
If not, use the large coil.
Too many targets under the coil will reduce your chances of locating a deep coin, etc.

Ism gave you some good advice. A Big coil in a trashy area equals frustration.
