Hi all, I just returned from the beach empty handed .I had been hunting for an hour or so and I had a signal under a deep rock. I had it pried half way up then bam, my shovel broke. I should have had my spare I was in a hurry and it cost me.
Has this ever happened to any of you?

You really bring a shovel to the beach?? I'd rather scoop around or under a rock than move it if it's big enough to break a shovel.

I have a scoop but I did not have it shipped over ...:BangHead: The shovel was a some what cheapy but I thought just in the sand it would be ok. The rock had suction from the wet sand which caused the extra effort needed to break the shovel.
Bringing a spare next time.
