will fisher 11" dd push type connector work on bh platinum

As far as I know coils are not interchangeable across different makers, so I doubt a Fisher coil would fit a Bounty Hunter.

Fisher and BH and Teknetics are manufactured under the same roof in El Paso, Texas, although the trademarks are administered under different business units. The 11 inch DD with push-on connector originally used on the Fisher F5 is electrically compatible with the Platinum. (The Fisher F5 was later changed to use a locking ring type connector.) Make sure you don't get the identically looking searchcoil that goes with the F2/4, those are compatible with most BH's but not with the Platinum.

What Susan said is almost always correct, it just happens to be mistaken in this particular case.

The Fisher F5 11" DD with push type connector will work with the BH Platinum. It gives it great depth and coverage. Make sure it has the push connector.
