cool find ! I only ever found 1 franklin that I remember.

Really? Except for maybe the Kennedys, I think they're the ugliest halves we ever made.

I like the Liberty bell on the backs

Unless you get an early die state uncirculated Franklin, even the bell is one big blob, just like the obverse. All the detail on the bell is the first thing to go in circulation. I'm a coin collector, but, I'd rather find a nice big silver ring than either a Franklin or a Kennedy.

It was my first silver coin MDing so I was happy to find it. Found it in front of our local elementary school.

Don't get me wrong....every silver find is a good one, and a half dollar is a remarkable one in this day and age. It's just that the Walkers and older give me a much bigger......uh.....er......ummmm.......(smile)! :laughing7:
