You'll probably have to resharpen the tool on occasion anyway, so, you can correct the poor job yourself. It's a shame they don't have better quality control than that. It would probably cost more to return the item for an exchange than it would be worth unless they'll pay the whole thing. Have you contacted the vendor?

Yep, that's my plan. I figure I'm going to lose some length in order to get an even point on it with the one side so badly uneven, but I may be able to salvage it.

yea, it prove to me that there must be no quality control.

Actually, I wrote the site where I bought it and askef if they could give me a contact email. I couldnt find any official email for the mfg on the web. I got absolutely no paperwork with my order.

The big one is a predator I re-worked the handle. The little one is shaped from a tough old shovel and welded to a 68 Chevelle clutch linkage.

lol, I think so... they look like they're made very well, I just wish whoever the sharpener was never touched the damn thing. I can do much better with the little experience I have.

My treasure wise digger is a dandy little tool. Very sturdy and ergonomic. Worth the money, actually prefer it over my gator.
