Our local club does the same......donates them all to the Ronald McDonald House.

The pulltab redemption for time on dialysis has been explained as a myth by MD Anderson that just seems to carry on. The pull tabs have to be recycled just like other metals and then someone "buys time" on the machines with the proceeds. Heard this last month on the radio by one of their spoke persons. Never could figure out why a few pounds of aluminum would be that valuable until it was explained as a well meaning but unfortunate misunderstanding.

If that was the,case then why the,pull tab why not the whole can wouldnt that make more sence

Why does redeeming aluminum pull tabs for dialysis make any more sense. What would the hospital do with them?
