I see you got the Ace 250. Only tip I can give you is to dig everything up. That detector has a hard time telling you whats under the ground. Good luck and have some fun.

Welcome. I feel your pain on wanting the snow to melt so you can get out detecting. The ground is still bound to be frozen a few inches down and can be very difficult to dig targets. It is also a lot harder to dig clean plugs and replace them like you were never there.

This hobby can be addictive! When you are able to I'd recommend getting a pro-pointer, if you don't already have one, it will help reduce your recovery time on most finds. HH
