That is a scale used to weigh grain. The circle end would hold a bag and the end on the right would hold a weight.

Found this metal detecting where a plantation was in 1800s and I have no clue what it is.

It's either a thingamabob a whatchamacallit or p possibly the illusive dodad. Lol . I hope you find out what it is , it's interesting ! :)

Thanks it makes sense. I thought it kinda look like a horse bit but then again it don't. Thanks for the help..
