Is it my detector?
I just bought my first detector, a Bounty Hunter Discovery 2200 and it seems that other than pull tabs and cans all I find is dimes and pennies. Don't people lose quarters and nickels or is it the detector. I dig every signal because besides being new to this I don't want to miss that special treasure.
Am I doing something wrong?
I am ordering a Garret Pin Pointer today to assist in less digging.

Thanks for any help!

I have the same model detector, but mine is several years old, with the old-style gray faceplate.

I just started last summer, and have gotten 6 silvers (4 quarters, 1 being an SLQ), 1 Indian Head (1908) , 1 Large cent (1848), and dozens of Wheaties, all in my front/back yard. :D I'm extremely proud of this! :hello2: It's a great detector for starting out, but it all depends on where you look too! What settings are you using? I usually just head out with Iron discriminated out, and the sensitivity low every once in a while, but I dig EVERYTHING that repeats, even with a so-so signal. Good luck, I'm getting a pinpointer soon too!
