I dug up 2 French Indochina coins today -- a 1921 20c piece and a 1911 10c piece. Didn't know squat about them until I got home and researched. Funny, they were found some 300 feet apart form each other...and yet both have a hole drilled into them. Curious, and a shame. These coins are in pretty decent shape otherwise.

They are 90% silver.
They are considered relatively rare: the 20 cent would've fetched $15 in good condition; the 10 cent about $40.

Not sure if you can see it in the obverse, but Miss Liberty in this coin sports a "tail" in the lower right of the throne. But in reality of design, it's part of an anchor propped behind her.

They could of been worn as a necklace

Probably! The necklace broke and that's how they ended up so close together.

Were these used in Vietnam? Maybe a soldier brought these back in the 60's?
