My oldest coin yet...

...and it's a beauty. 1877 Seated Liberty Quarter. Found it under an old pine cone tree next to a 1940 auditorium, about 4 inches down. Couldn't believe my eyes. I would say it's in fine condition, as I can make out about all of "Liberty" on her shield, which puts its value at about $30 due to some older scars.
I am one happy camper finding this one.

those are few and far between at least in my are seated dimes show up but quarters are rare.congrats on a great find

Yeah, yeah Trekkie, laugh it up! But, you're right -- I want more, too! I get back to that same auditorium when I can...and now that I've up-graded to a BH Platinum w/11" coil, I'm hoping there's more there. It can't just be dumb luck...I found at least 4 wheaties at the sight. Keep digging, Gatorman!
