It's taken over 2 years (granted I don't hunt as often as I'd like), but I finally got silver!! It was two weeks ago, but I've been a slacker.

Pulled a 1959D dime, a 1942P nickel, and 2 wheats from the same hole. :headbang:

After all the junk and clad I've dug, it was quite a sight to see the dirt just fall off and the silver start gleaming.

Here's the rest of the days finds...

Thanks for looking

LOL! You know it! I actually just moved into this old place about 18 months ago, but last year had to replace the sewer line and main in my backyard, so it was just a sea of red clay and I stayed out of it trying to get grass going. I had only searched about 5 sq ft before that. So many targets!! Mostly junk. Then we had a drought and I didn't wanna dig. Then a crappy winter....... Lately the clay is damp, the grass is growing, the weather is beautiful, and I've been hitting it hard! Since it's my own spot, I'm digging absolutely everything and it's slow going. But it's getting cleaner all the time and I'm staying hopeful. Place was built in 1928 so there's gotta be more here.

I would have searched before any work was done in the yard. Some items may be buried too deep to find now.

I wish I could have, but the sewage pouring out of the cleanout into the backyard got priority. I'll keep a positive outlook on it and hope that some deep items got brought to the surface instead.
